On 20 June 2015, Syed Imad-ud-Din Asad [LL.M. (Harvard); Founding Director & Associate Professor, SLP]organized and hosted the 5th Harvard University Muslim Alumni (HUMA) Iftar at the Royal Palm Golf and Country Club, Lahore.The event was sponsored by UMT School of Law and Policy (SLP).
This year the event, which is held annually, was attended by more than twentyHarvard alumni and their spouses. These alumni hailed fromHarvard Law School, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard School of Education, Harvard Business School, etc.The event provides a one of a kind forum for Harvard alumni to meet and network with each other and share their experiences.
The U.S. Consul General in Lahore, Zachary V. Harkenrider, also attended the event. Mr. Harkenrider interacted with the guests and was particularly impressed with Professor Asad’s efforts and achievements in establishing a law school with its various international collaborations.In this connection, he mentioned that he was eager to visit SLP and that he would do so in the near future.
In the end, the guests expressed their gratitude and thanked Professor Asad for organizing yet another successful event.
