The School of Law and Policy (SLP), University of Management and Technology (UMT), successfully hosted a guest lecture titled "How to Read the Constitutional Amendment" on October 25, 2024, at 3:00 PM in Room 1C-17.
The session was led by Mohammad Ahmad Qayyum, a distinguished Advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Member of the Punjab Bar Council, and Chairman of the Legal Education Committee of the Punjab Bar Council.
Mr. Qayyum delivered an insightful and thought-provoking lecture, guiding students through the intricate process of interpreting constitutional amendments. He highlighted the importance of understanding the legislative intent, the judicial context, and the structural impact of constitutional changes. Drawing from his vast experience in legal advocacy and education, Mr. Qayyum emphasized critical reading and analytical thinking as essential tools for aspiring lawyers and legal scholars.
