The School of Law and Policy (SLP), University of Management and Technology (UMT), organized an academic training session titled “Judicial Control of Administrative Action in Pakistan: Principles, Procedures, and Challenges” on May 18, 2026, at Lecture Hall 6L-03.
The session was conducted by renowned legal expert Dr. Shahzada Amir Mushtaq, who delivered an insightful discussion on the role of judicial review in maintaining transparency, accountability, and legality in administrative actions within Pakistan’s legal framework.
During the session, participants explored key principles governing administrative law, judicial remedies available against misuse of administrative powers, procedural safeguards, and the contemporary challenges faced by courts and public institutions in Pakistan. Dr. Shahzada Amir Mushtaq also highlighted important constitutional dimensions and landmark judicial approaches relating to administrative accountability.
The training proved highly beneficial for students, particularly those from Section I and II, for whom attendance was mandatory. Students actively engaged in discussions and gained practical understanding of judicial mechanisms that ensure checks and balances in governance.
The School of Law and Policy remains committed to promoting legal awareness and practical learning through expert-led academic activities that bridge theoretical knowledge with contemporary legal practice.
