On 25 October 2012, Syed Imad-ud-Din Asad [Founder and Director, Center for Law and Policy] was invited by Leitner Center for International Law and Justice at Fordham University School of Law to give a talk titled "Center for Law and Policy: Evolving Legal Education in Pakistan". The purpose was not only to formally introduce CLP to law faculty and students at Fordham, but also to explain various internship opportunities available at CLP for J.D. candidates in the United States.
The audience asked various questions about application process, visa procedure, research facilities at CLP, and the security situation in Pakistan. Students were particularly interested in projects related to law enforcement and police reforms.
On 08 November 2012, Professor Asad gave a similar talk at Boston University School of Law. Like Fordham, BU students and faculty showed immense interest in various internship, research, and teaching opportunities offered by CLP.
