On 17 December 2012, a delegation from Center for Law Policy visited Civil Services Academy, Lahore. The delegation comprised Syed Imad-ud-Din Asad [Founder and Director, Center for Law and Policy], Mark Tushnet [William Nelson Cromwell Professor of Law, Harvard Law School], and Sara Mahboob [Assistant Director, Center for Law and Policy].
Khalid Sultan [Director General, Civil Services Academy] and Naveed Saleh [Director, DMG Campus, Civil Services Academy] welcomed the delegation and gave a detailed presentation on the Academy's significant role in training young government officers.
Afterwards, Professor Tushnet gave a talk to the faculty and trainee officers on the relationship between judiciary and executive in the United States. This was followed by a Q&A session during which trainee officers asked Professor Tushnet a number of questions about independence of judiciary, judicial review, etc.
