University of Antwerp (UA), Belgium, hosted a summer program for SLP’s students from 21 August 2016 to 03 September 2016. The students were accompanied by Syed Imad-ud-Din Asad [Founding Director and Associate Professor, SLP] as their academic supervisor.
UA did not charge any fee for the program; UA registered SLP’s students as UA students; and SLP’s students received certificates from UA.
SLP’s group arrived in Belgium on 22 August 2016 and left Belgium on 03 September 2016. The group stayed in Antwerp throughout the duration of the study tour. However, the group made day-trips to other Belgian cities and towns, for instance, Bruges, Brussels, Ghent, Leuven, and Michelin, for cultural experience. The group was also hosted at EU Parliament, Belgian Senate, and Belgian Central Bank.
This was the second summer program that SLP’s students attended in Europe. In 2015, SLP’s students attended their first summer program in Europe at Friedrich Alexander Universitat, Germany.Both summer programs were negotiated and finalized by Prof. Asad.
