On 19 April 2017, Syed Imad-ud-Din Asad [Founding Director and Associate Professor, SLP] invited Frédéric Verheyden [Ambassador of Belgium] to give a talk, titled “Cooperation and Confrontation,” at SLP.
Based on his experience as a diplomat in different countries, Mr. Verheyden shared his personal views on cooperation and confrontation within and between countries in the current international context.
Along with SLP’s faculty and students, members of Lahore High Court Bar Association also attended the event.
The talk was followed by a Q&A session, during which Mr. Verheyden and the audience discussed international relations, European cooperation, Belgian politics, and Muslims in Europe.
