On 10 April 2018, as part of the ongoing collaboration between UMT School of Law and Policy [SLP] and Center for Global Studies [CGS], Czech Academy of Sciences [CAS], Syed Imad-ud-DinAsad [Founding Director and Associate Professor, SLP] gave a talk, titled “Islamic Law in Modern Muslim States: The Situation in Pakistan,” at CAS, Prague, Czech Republic.
Along with doctoral candidates, researchers, and visiting professors, Dr. Marek Hrubec [Director, CGS] and Dr. Zora Hesova [Professor, Charles University] attended Prof. Asad’s talk.
Prof. Asad is the first law professor from Pakistan to speak at the Czech Academy of Sciences.
