On 19 April 2018, as part of the ongoing collaboration between UMT School of Law and policy [SLP] and Faculty of Law, WestfälischeWilhelms-Universität [WWU], Syed Imad-ud-DinAsad [Founding Director and associate Professor, SLP] gave a talk, titled “Islamic Law in Pakistan,” at WWU, Munster, Germany.
From the beginning, Prof. Asad kept the talk frank and interactive. Consequently, the students and the faculty freely engaged with him on a wide range of issues related to the topic.
In his closing remarks, Dr. Niels Petersen [Professor, Faculty of Law, WWU] appreciated Prof. Asad’s knowledge of the topic and his candid responses to the various questions raised and comments made by the audience. Prof. Dr. Petersen remarked that Prof. Asad’s style was a new and useful experience for the faculty and students at WWU.
Prof. Asad is the first law professor from Pakistan to speak at WWU.
