On 24 February 2015, as part of the ongoing collaboration between UMT School of Law and Policy (SLP) and the faculty of law at Katholieke Universitiet Leuven (KU Leuven), Syed Imad-ud-Din Asad [Founding Director and Associate Professor, SLP] gave a talk, titled “Islamic Law in Pakistan,” to the candidates pursuing different LL.M. degrees at KU Leuven. The talk was hosted by Dr. Vincent Sagaert [Vice Dean and Professor, Faculty of Law, KU Leuven]. Prof. Asad explained the basic concepts of Islamic law before focusing on the significance and role of Islamic law in Pakistani legal system.
