UMT School of Law and Policy held a Facebook live Webinar on Mitigating climate change through International law- Pakistan's responses under its legal framework on 21st January,2021. Advocate Rafay Alam discussed existing treaties, conventions and regimes dealing with climate change and the domestic legal framework of Pakistan that incorporates international environmental laws and policies and challenges to its implementation. He also discussed, the Pakistan Climate Change Act, 2017 and its application raising several issues regarding the implementation of international laws as well as federalism within the Constitutional structure of Pakistan.
