The School of Law and Policy, University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore organized an engaging and thought-provoking webinar titled “Will AI Replace Lawyers? The Future of the Legal Professional in Pakistan.”'
The event took place on 17March 2026 at Venue6L-03, from 09:00AM to 11:00 AM. The session was aimed to explore the growing fluence of artificial intelligence in the legal sector and its potential impact on the future of legal professionals in Pakistan.
The keynote speaker for the session Mr.Muhammad Danish Ghaffar, the CEO and Founder of
Digi Lawyer, Pakistan’s first AI-powered legal tech platform, and a member of the Stanford Seed Spark Program. With his expertise in legal technology and innovation, Mr. Ghaffar shared valuable insights into how artificial intelligence is transforming legal practice, including areas such as legal research, contract analysis, document automation, and case management.
The webinar focused on addressing an important contemporary question: whether AI has the potential to replace lawyers or whether it will serve as a powerful tool to assist legal professionals. The discussion ishile
also emphasizing the importance of technological awareness and digital skills for future lawyers.
