Talk on Islamic finance

On 17 April 2018, as part of the ongoing collaboration between UMT School of Law and Policy [SLP] and Faculty of Law, Heidelberg University [Heidelberg], Syed Imad-ud-Din Asad [Associate Professor and Founding Director, SLP] give a talk, titled “Islamic Finance,” at Heidelberg, Germany. Heidelberg Law NMUN organized the event.

This was the fifth consecutive year that Professor Asad was invited by Heidelberg to give a talk. Here is a quick overview of the previous talks given by Professor Asad at Heidelberg:

1. “Religion and Law in Pakistan" on 24 March 2017;

2. “Europe and Islamic Law” on 11 March 2016;

3. “Islamic Law and Violence” on 03 March 2015; and

4. “Islamic Law in Pakistan” on 03 February 2014.

No other Pakistani lawyer or legal academic has ever been invited by Heidelberg for five consecutive years.
