On 28 June 2018, the rector of University of Management and Technology [UMT], Dr. M. Aslam [Sitara-e-Imtiaz], hosted Dr. Pierre Emmanuel Audit [Professor, Faculty of Law, University Paris-2 Pantheon Assas] and Syed Imad-ud-Din Asad [Founding Director and Associate Professor, UMT School of Law and Policy] over coffee.
Among other things, Prof. Audit explained to Dr. Aslam how he decided to teach a short course at SLP and to explore possibilities of collaboration between Paris-2 and SLP due to his friendship with Prof. Asad. He also explained various features of the French system of legal education and how Pakistani law schools--- particularly, SLP--- can benefit from the French experience.
Dr. Aslam assured Prof. Audit of his full support for any activity jointly conducted by Paris-2 and SLP. Dr. Aslam also appreciated Prof. Asad for using his personal contacts to further enrich the academic and cultural exposure of SLP’s students.
