The immediate objective of our five-year LL.B. program is to produce legal practitioners who are not only able to work in Pakistan, but also abroad.
The program follows the guidelines prescribed by the Higher Education Commission.
Duration, Credits, and Roadmap
The program is spread over five years, comprises of 172 credits, and has the following structure:
The school conducts its own admission test that examines an applicant's skills in English and general knowledge. A committee of three faculty members interviews and evaluates the candidates. The committee considers the applicant's performane in the written test, previous academic performance, letters of recommendation, co-curricular accomplishments, and other relevant factors.
The Administration at UMT is fully informed as to the standards and rules of procedure for the recognition of universities/law schools by Pakistan Bar Council. Please click here to access the same.
The Administration is determined to devote all necessary resources and to take all necessary steps to present a program of legal education to qualify for approval by the Council. It makes no representation to any applicant that UMT will be recognized by the Council prior to the graduation of any matriculating student.
