Advisory-Industrial Board

It is notified that School of Law and Policy has constituted its Industrial linkage/ Advisory Board on 18-12-2023, as per directed. The Board comprises of the following Members.

  1.     Justice ® Hasnat Ahmad Khan
  2.    Justice ® Jamsheed Rehmat Ullah
  3.    Mr. Asad Manzoor Butt, Advocate Supreme Court
  4.    Syed Farhad Ali Shah, Advocate Supreme Court
  5.    Mr. Ali Allow-u-Din, Advocate High Court

 

Purpose of establishment

The purpose of establishing the Industrial linkage/ Advisory Board in the School of Law and Policy UMT is to provide strategic advice and support for the school's teaching, research and student employability efforts. The board will is constituted to;

  • Provide strategic advice on the development and implementation of the school's work and on external perceptions of its education and research in an international context
  • Assist with securing and maintaining links with relevant sectors, professions and civil society organizations for the school's benefit
  • Advise on the relevance of the school's taught programs to student career prospects and societal impact
  • Support the establishment of new teaching programs
  • Inform and support measures to improve student employability
  • Promote the school's reputation and activities through members' networks

  Authority/ Powers of the Board

The Board does not have executive powers or responsibilities, but the members may provide guest lectures, mentor students and staff, provide advice on specific issues, and undertake other relevant activities.

Composition of the Board

It is composed of 5 permanent members appointed for 1-year renewable terms, with meetings held four times a year. Its purpose is to leverage the expertise and networks of its members to enhance the school's teaching, research and student outcomes.
